Bik-Lish ( a derivative of “Bikol” and “English”) is an attempt to advocate the use and preservation of the Bikol tongue and literature. The blog also seeks to encourage, and be an avenue for, collaborative efforts to help revive the dying language of the Bicolanos.
Personally, it is also an attempt of the author to share his thoughts both in English and Bikol languages, in prose or poetry, in politics and literature… (in science and in fiction, in sickness and in health, for better or for worse, so help us God. Amen! )

To jacarizo,
Bulan Observer is honored to be included in your BLOGROLL!
Thank you for endorsing our objectives for our little town of Bulan. Bik-lish will soon appear in Bulan Observer’s Blogroll, too!
I’m now excited to start browsing through your Bik-Lish. Yes, it’s crucial to help prevent the death of Bicol language. I experienced this in me- the death of mother language- after long, long years of not using it. Now, I’m literally reviving my Bulan dialect in particular and my knowledge of Bicol (as spoken in Legaspi or Donsol) in general. So, believe me when say that your Bik-Lish will be my companion starting today in reviving this forgotten language of mine. And so with my English! It also almost vanish in my “vocabulary”. So, for me, your site is a sort of two- birds- in-one- shot.
Thanks again for helping spread the news from and about our fight for Progress for Bulan.
Salamat.
