hi, can i get your first name please? by the way, salita ng taon, in which adrian remodo, a friend and fellow teacher at the ateneo de naga univ, won last summer was actually a search for new filipino words. adrian writes in bikol, we are the only columnists in vox bikol (www.voxbikol.net) writing in bikol. about berso sa behikulo, we are open for any kind of help. the proj is implemented by Kabulig (Bikol Writers Group) and funds are really needed. my vision for the proj is regionwide.
I do not know where can I contact you personally. Mail me at sidharthvarna [at] gmail [dot] com. We can talk.

Yes,I’ve heard a lot about maronilla’s.can yuo gave us additional infos. about this clan?
anton/don/juan/art… whatever,
as i said in my e-mail i don’t have that much info. if you can share us your info, baka may mag-share din from our readers… like what our benito readers have done. you know the saying naman siguro: what you sow, you reap. if you share what you know, others might share what they know also… ganyan lang po iyan.
but if you are really interested to learn more, as i said in my e-mail again, i can recommend some researchers in the area whom you can contact directly.
I’m just curious Mr. Jay, is that your hand holding a ballpen in the picture?
pls give us a researcher that can give us complete infos abt,the maronilla clan.tnx a lot
bong, u can search the website of the municipality of libon. it has a link of a researcher who does genealogy of many families in libon and bulacan. maronilla figured prominently in that research…
Thanks for the link.

@ Iron Lady,
Happy New Year!
Due to a very busy schedule, it’s been a while since my last post in Biklish. Even then, I regularly hear and read comments from people like you as well as observe an increasing number of visitor in my webstats. It’s heart-warming so thanks a lot.
It is an advocacy to look into the unwritten history of our region and the country as well so I would appreciate to hear stories from you and your grandparents especially their contribution to the people of Albay and the Bicol Region as a whole. Rest assured that all contributions/materials will be credited to where they are due.
Thanks and let us all help together in putting together the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle called History.
hi, i think i know you. are u a BU graduate? your name sounds familiar, probably one of the popular students at BU that time.
hi jnoveno,
yes i am a BU grad from the defunct (?) CAS. thanks for visiting my site.
Thanks for that encouragement.
Have you seen my proposal about how to write Bikol? Its in my posts titled “New Bikol Orthography” and has about 5 parts. I’ve posted about 3 parts already and just finding the time to continue writing the other parts. I’ve included some bikol posts (poems, articles, etc.) as well to illustrate how it would look like. If you can comment on any aspect of it (practicality, aesthetics, acceptability, readability, etc), that would be much appreciated. Cheers.
Thanks for your comment on my blog.Where is Bikol region ?It was interesting to read about the hiitory of your people.I am guessing it is near Phillipines.
@ aahang
Bikol Region is in the Philippines… similar to a state in India. the difference is that your states are more autonomous than the regions in the Philippines.
Thanks for dropping by
